According to preliminary results as of Thursday dawn, Biden is on the doorstep of the White House after winning the votes in Michigan and Wisconsin.
Tens of millions of Americans voted Tuesday to choose the next president after an election campaign dominated by the emerging Corona virus (Covid-19) epidemic, which has killed more than 238,000 people in the United States.
Biden has won 13 states so far: Vermont, Virginia, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, New Mexico, New York, the District of Columbia and Colorado.
In return for Trump's victory in 14 states, so now: Kentucky, West Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arkansas, Indiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Louisiana and Nebraska.
The counting of American voters continues in the last 5 states, amid an atmosphere of tension, as Republican candidate Donald Trump declared his victory before the count is complete, while Democratic candidate Joe Biden's campaign confirmed that he is heading to victory.
