Ethiopian army commander attacks the director of the World Health Organization
In a statement broadcast on Ethiopian television, the Ethiopian Army Chief of Staff General Berhanu Gula accused the Director of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom, for supporting that rebel group in the Tigray region and said that this man is a member of that group and does everything to support it in obtaining weapons.
The accusation comes because the director of the World Health Organization is one of the most prominent global figures from the Tigray region, and he previously worked as Minister of Health and Minister of Foreign Affairs in a former coalition government led by the Tigray People's Liberation Front from 2005 until 2016.
Reuters reported that a spokesman for the World Health Organization said that there is no comment yet on the accusation directed against Tedros.
Berhanu said that Tedros is a criminal and should be removed from his current position as director of the World Health Organization, as he calls on neighboring countries to condemn the Ethiopian war on the Tigray region, and does everything to support them.
