Experts expect the next epidemic to appear after Corona
In a recent Australian study, researchers reached the possibility of the emergence of a new epidemic after Corona, especially that infectious diseases, 60% of which are transmitted from animals to humans, and animals constitute 75% of new diseases, and people interact with animals either by raising them or consuming them.
One of the researchers, Michael Walsh, said that raising animals by humans and living them in one place with humans has increased in recent times.
And the areas most vulnerable to the emergence of potential epidemics are the countries of sub-Saharan Africa, the countries of Southeast Asia, especially some cities such as Mumbai, India, Chengdu, China, and Bangkok, Thailand.
The reason is that it is vulnerable to an epidemic because it is a travel and transit point for many, and it is gigantic cities where millions of people live and receive large numbers of tourists, in addition to the fact that these places live in wild animals alongside people, which increases the chance of exposure to new epidemics
