The Philippines National Disaster Agency announced that 67 people were killed as a result of Hurricane FAMCO, and that 12 people were missing in the affected areas on Luzon Island, and there are more than a million people directly affected, and 370,000 were forced to flee their homes because of that disaster.

Cyclone FAMCO is considered one of the strongest typhoons that hit the Philippines, after a series of storms that struck the country since the past weeks, which caused landslides and destroyed thousands of homes due to floods, which killed more than 100 people and lost others.
President Rodrigo Duterte was scheduled to visit Tuguegaro province at a later time to assess the situation in the severely affected and flooded areas, including the capital, Manila.

Media reported that many areas in Cagian remained submerged in water until Sunday, affecting thousands of families, some of whom fled to the rooftops to escape the high floods.
The damage caused to agricultural commodities due to the floods from the beginning was estimated at 1.2 billion (pesos), equivalent to 25 million US dollars, and the infrastructure damaged at about 470 million pesos.

Typhoon Famco is the 21st typhoon to hit the Philippines this year, 2020.
