Russian girl Aisha loses her arm as a result of the continuous beatings
The 7-year-old girl Aisha Azegova was sent by her mother to live with her aunt temporarily because she was undergoing financial hardship, and the girl lived with her aunt, which caused a tragedy that lost her irreplaceable part of her right arm (from the palm of the hand to the forearm) as a result of the continuous beating and abuse of her.
When Aisha's arm became seriously swollen and lost sensation, her aunt took her to the doctor, who decided to transfer her to a large hospital in Moscow immediately, so the doctors decided to amputate the child's arm after he had gangrene that cannot be treated.
When asked by the paramedics about the reason for the deterioration of the situation, the aunt could not provide a convincing explanation for what happened, which prompted the paramedics to inform the police to investigate this criminal incident.
And local press reports revealed that a court in Sunza, southwest of Russia, had determined that Aisha had become disabled, and that she would need years of psychological recovery after the ill treatment she was subjected to at the hands of her aunt.
Doctors believe that Aisha broke her arm during the beating, which her aunt did not notice at the time, according to investigations.
Doctors from the Pediatric Emergency Surgery and Fractures Research Institute said that the dead part of Aisha's limb had been removed, including the palm and forearm.
The investigations revealed horrific details about the child's life during her stay with her aunt, which lasted for 6 months. Reports said that Aisha "was regularly and brutally punished for everything the aunt considered wrong."
The investigator, Maksharib Dobriyev, told local media that the aunt was beating the girl due to any mistake, and as a result she sustained serious injuries to the body that later resulted in the amputation of part of her right arm.
Days ago, the court charged Maka Ganiyeva with deliberately causing serious bodily harm to the girl, and she was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment. Meanwhile, Aisha's mother expresses her deep remorse for what happened and describes the 6-year prison sentence as being very light compared to the harm caused to her child.
